# How we review tools

Trendalyzer verifies every tool against rigorous privacy and mathematical standards before publication. This page describes the testing and verification process behind all tools on the site.

## Verification standards

Every tool on this site is tested against five essential gates:

1. A content record that states inputs, outputs, limits, warnings, and a definitional paragraph
2. Goldens or unit checks on the code path the browser actually runs — not a Node-only branch
3. A Playwright spec that plants a sentinel in the input and asserts it never appears in a request
4. Honest failure behaviour: invalid input must not leave a previous result on screen
5. An accessibility pass on the interactive controls

A port from another repository is not evidence. Moving a file is not evidence.

## What we do not check yet

- Layout-faithful conversion of every Word or PDF document
- Clinical, legal, or financial correctness of any number a calculator might later produce
- Third-party advertising until a host is signed in the allowlist
