Radar chart

Compare one or more profiles across three or more quantitative variables radiating from a center. Create a private, publication-ready radar chart directly in your browser without transmitting sensitive rows off-device. Data is processed locally on your hardware with zero server uploads, enabling instant export to SVG, PNG, and Excel data.

Edit the data, then export.

Everything runs in your browser. Your data is not uploaded.

Data

Paste tab-separated data from Excel or edit the cells directly.

Paste or import table data

Paste a header row, or choose a local CSV/TSV file. Files are read in this browser and capped at 500 rows.

SVG, PNG, and Excel exports are generated locally in this browser. PowerPoint export is temporarily unavailable while its dependency path is reviewed for a high-severity image parser advisory.

Visual Encoding & Comparative Anatomy

A radar chart (also known as a spider chart, web chart, or star plot) plots three or more quantitative variables on axes that radiate outward from a central point. By plotting a value on each axis and connecting the points, it forms a closed polygon that represents a single entity’s “profile” across multiple metrics. This makes it ideal for evaluating the holistic strengths, weaknesses, or characteristics of subjects like job candidates, vehicles, or athletic performance. All charting and data rendering processes occur completely locally on your machine, with no data ever uploaded to an external server.

Input Format & Required Columns

Format input columns for radar chart with explicit headers and numerical measurements. Verify that rows represent discrete categories or observations without unformatted symbol artifacts.

Best Practices for Category Comparison

  • Ensure sufficient visual distinction for radar chart marks across standard and high-contrast viewports.
  • Align text labels horizontally whenever possible to improve cognitive readability for radar chart elements.
  • Double-check scale boundaries and zero-anchors before exporting radar chart presentation artwork.

How it works

You edit a table in this page. The renderer draws an SVG from those rows in your browser, then you can download SVG, PNG, or Excel data. The table is not uploaded to any external processing server.

Frequently asked questions

Why does axis ordering matter in a radar chart?

Changing the order of radial axes alters the enclosed polygon surface area, which can unconsciously bias human perception of profile strength.
