Storyline to PowerPoint

Convert a supported Articulate Storyline .story project into a reviewed static deck with editable text, native shapes, and replaceable pictures. Inspection, composition, and export run in your browser; video is represented by an explicitly labeled poster when one is available, while triggers, timing, and learner interactions remain reported losses.

Processing stays in this tab. The file name is used only for local display and the downloaded file name.

Selected layer pages are inserted immediately after their selected parent slide. Edit PowerPoint slide names (metadata, not on-slide text) after the local preview is built.

Select a native Storyline project or try the synthetic sample.

How local reconstruction works

  1. Select a native .story file or inspect the synthetic sample. The archive is validated and parsed in a Web Worker.
  2. Review the detected Storyline profile, scene and slide order, object treatments, blockers, and excluded interaction content. Choose base slides and any qualified layer pages; selected layers are inserted immediately after their selected parent slide.
  3. Edit PowerPoint slide names (these change slide metadata, not text drawn on the slide) and alternative text, acknowledge every declared loss, then download the native PowerPoint and its separate local conversion report.

Support and limits

This experimental importer is profile-specific and does not claim universal Storyline compatibility. It preserves source ordering and qualified text, shapes, groups, images, and poster geometry as native document objects. Unknown visible structures, ambiguous layers or timing, missing media, unsafe archive relationships, and unresolved objects block export. Layer pages are opt-in because they may contain feedback or answers. The current static policy does not preserve playback, audio, JavaScript, triggers, variables, branching, interactive controls, or learner state.

Privacy and output fidelity

The selected archive, extracted bytes, preview data, and generated downloads stay in this browser session. No upload endpoint, account, remote asset fetch, source-script execution, persistent storage, or origin conversion service is used. Reopen the downloaded presentation in the target Office application and review layout, fonts, poster treatment, reading order, and alternative text before sharing it. This route remains experimental until held-out projects and independent Office, schema, visual, and accessibility checks qualify the supported profile.
